We are very pleased with the Field Armor product apart from the challenge of fitting rental clients. The suits wash easily in a front load washer, they are great quality, they are stylish, and we love the basic concept. The problem is that it is tough to get a padded suit to fit all sizes and shapes. We have several sizes but due to the somewhat shaped nature of the padding system, a good fit seems a bit tough to get. This suit looks quite good on Chic Pea for modeling but in real use she would find it tight in some areas. The next size up would make her look like the Michelin Man, and no one would like that! In summary, if you happen to fit our suits, you are in luck! No promises.
The No Surrender vests are also excellent quality and give total protection of areas that they cover - of course they don't cover everything! But check our photos and good luck with your efforts to avoid those welts!

On the left, Janine models a type of vest which we rent out, that can take a hit with the wearer not feeling anything. The arms, unfortunately, are not covered.
Sunnie was under pressure to look stylish and a bit racy for this photo. She really wasn't trying to cool off. But the reality is that the Field Armor suit that she is wearing is amazingly airy and cool to wear.
This lady was to be a bridesmaid a few days after this paintball outing. She wore a Field Armor suit to minimize the chance of a welt in a visible location. These suits are a great help, but there are small gaps between the internal pads and if a paintball hits one of these gaps, you are going to feel it. The suit greatly boosts your chances of zero damage but it is not 100% sure.
Here is how most girls dress. This O'Shea waitress has taken a mouth hit through her mask. No problem - the mask disintegrates such hits. She has on a bunny hug and gloves - both really valuable. The trick is to wear floppy clothes and as much soft padding as the temperature will permit. A neck warmer or a neck protector and light gloves are two items that can really pay off. Hits rarely are bad but on occasion a fluke shot, often at close range, can really give you a welt.
These ladies both are wearing "No Surrender" vests. They were pleased with how well they worked. It is unlikely that they took any bad arm hits during their outing.
If all else fails you will be pleased to know that much of paintball pain is in your head. At the Dunes we provide the wonderful MD Medical Center. When you are hit, you come to the central Safe Zone and push a button that indicates the level of pain you feel. A siren goes off. A "Full Recovery" light flashes, and no matter where or how you have been hit, you immediately feel much better. Seems incredible? Give it a try! Moments after the photo above was taken, Feeder Chain's eyes returned to the forward position, his spine once again became flexible, and Sunnie was able to detect a normal heart beat!
This page is devoted to the issue of the pain of paintball hits. There are numerous solutions to the problem. Several routes are covered on this page.
Despite women's capacity to handle more pain than men, paintball is a guy's game and they seem to ignore the hits and revel in showing off the welts! Women often are less enthusiastic with regard to hits and welts.
We have for rent padded Field Armor suits and No Surrender vests.
The suits have a built-in neck protector, so you won't have to fear the dreaded 'Adam's apple' shot!
Ashley and Simone strike a warrior-ess pose in their Field Armor suits. Both ladies seemed pleased with the protection the outfits provided.
No doubt the ladies are none too envious of their welted-up male compatriot.
