The Goat - the story as of April 19, 2017
Merrill     Dunes
We are in the process of converting an Astro Van into a type of armoured vehicle that can be used in paintball and airsoft events.  The"Goat", as we are calling it, will have a 360 degree turret plus side and rear gun ports.  Crew will consist of a staff driver and three gunners.  The gunners will be completely protected and the tank can only be stopped by accurately hitting external electro targets which will be mounted just behind and above the turret.

The concept will provide a unique experience for all ages.  Very young players will love the Goat in that they will be able to go for a havock dispensing tour with no personal physical risk.  The only hazard is having the Goat knocked out quicker than the survival time posted by the opposing team.

The turret will have an adjustable seat that spins with the turret - thus a system that fits the 6.5 footer or the 3.5 footer.  Sisters, here is your chance to punishing your brothers!

When the Goat dies, its back to the staging zone to switch to three players from the other team.  Everyone gets a chance to RULE!

As of the posted date, we have a ways to go - but functionality, come the beginning of April, is the goal. (We are not going to meet our goal - but progress is being made!)
Scan the progress to date - It is taking longer than we had hoped, but we will get to functionality eventually!
We are always trying to have something New at the Dunes!
On February 17 we did a photos shoot for the upcoming Hockey Review advert.  We appreciated having three players from the Wild Outlaw Bantam hockey team assist us.  From the left - Kohlburn Thiessen, Rylan Seidel, and Michael Anaka.  The guys appear again below in the same order.  Great job guys!
The photo above tries to show the Goat on the move.  As soon as possible we will post an actual video showing the turret action and the Electro Target system in action.  The Goat operates at safe speeds and is piloted by a selected staff driver.  The surprised player in the photo had best dive for cover before the turret gunner lights him up!  Three gunners ride behind the driver.  Be sure to bring a walkie talkie set so your tank crew can plan strategy with your infantry soldiers!
Currently we are working on the adjustable foot ring for the turret gunner to use to brace himself and to control the spin of the turret.  All the gun ports are in place.  Next will be the electro target complex and the 360 LED cattail that will show which team is in control of the Goat.  There are still many details to add but each one that is put in place will assure that the Goat is a Winner!  Innovation comes hard but once it is in place - Wow - Isn't it Sweet!
The initial photoshop mock-up.  At this point, the logo and turret were in dream land.
The Shop Cat relaxes with the turret foot platform in the background.
The rear plexiglass windows have a gun port in the center.  A prototype electo target sits on the van roof.
A flip up section on the foot platform makes it easier for the turret gunner to get into the turret.
The flip up section fits smoothly into the level floor.  The entire floor section can be quickly raised or lowered to fit the size of the turret gunner.
The gunner enters the turret cage.
The floor section is in the entry position.
The floor section flops down into the action position.  The expanded metal floor provides excellent traction and sheds mud and sand.
The view out of the rotating turret.  Turret rotation is easy to control via your feet on the adjustable floor pan.

Using one of the rear gun ports.  The gunner will be wearing a mask in the real battle environment and the gun ports will have a shrouding.

We have a ways to go yet but the Goat is gaining personality daily
The four sided Electro Target has been added.  It is the Achilles Heel of the Goat - land your hits on the targets in the proper manner and bring the Goat to a standstill!
