How Does It Work? Depending on your budget, and building details, and number of players, we will advise you as to what equipment we feel will give you the best event value. The core of HEAT involves two teams struggling against each other to secure goals and to make saves (and to Survive)! We can field one, two, or three Action Tag Nets and normally would suggest the use of 12 laser tagers - six per team at a maximum. Play is usually intense and 7 minute bursts are the norm. Then the gear is designed to allow a quick change up of players - thus a fairly large group can have repeat adrenaline shots with a vital rest period in between!
The Action Tag Nets are a Merrill Dunes marvel. To score a goal you must make it to a Net, hold down your team button, and fire your laser Tager into a small window on the Net Box. (Dead Tager > no Shot > no Goal!) Your team light comes on and you need to keep the opposing players away for 30 seconds to score the goal. If one of their players swoops in with a live Tager at 28 seconds and switches the light, he gets a save and your scoring effort is neutralized. To add to the drama, team lights are initially steady, but start to flash at 15 seconds, and go into a wild flash at 23 seconds - so everyone knows the urgency! The Net Box displays the game time remaining and the game score.
Your Tager can only take so many hits before it goes dead but as long as it is alive, it heals. It also talks to you and tells you your health state as well as informing you of the health state of the opponents who you manage to hit with your light beam. If you are knocked out, not a big deal - just head to the team Penalty Box/Medic Center, push a button, and you are immediately back in action. Our Tagers are $800 units - they PERFORM!
If you are confronting a long rush down a hallway, you may want to do a Body Check with a Sneaky Peaker. Cheating is difficult and obvious. A sensor on each Tager as well as on the front and back of each player's head means any aggressive action comes with a risk of reprisal! This feature is vital to indoor events!
This is the core game but we have several variations on the basic to keep the momentum up. Expect the unexpected and enjoy the adrenaline fired post game "story times" where half the event takes place - as well as the memories and discussion flashbacks that occur for days after!
Here is an approximate pricing schedule for our HEAT game system. Exact details of your location and building characteristics will have some impact on pricing but the following chart will give you a good idea of cost. Prices include all taxes.
Our game system is designed to allow rapid switch up of player groups and games are relatively short and of high intensity. As a result, a fairly large group can be given a series of dramatic thrills with a relatively low number of Tagers. The HEAT Game System is meant to augment a social gathering where food and socializing takes place concurrently with the laser games. Rest periods between games are a practical necessity!! And steady use of the imported gear makes for good value. This format Works!
Duration of a booking is very flexible and can be extended at a relatively low cost if demand warrants extra play time. Preparing, travel, moving in and moving out, and unpacking, is where our expenses lie. Event duration is not costly.

This package is based on clients having access to a building that is large enough and complex enough to provide a playing map without the addition of extra barricades. It is also aimed at social situations where the laser activity is concurrent with other socializing activities. Thus a small number of Tagers deliver excellent value. For events that require barricades to be brought in and require a large number of active players at one time, touch base with us to put together a plan. We do this type of event but pricing is impacted by details and once we know your situation, we can advise on how to get maximum impact at minimum cost. We have over 25 years of experience and a lot of equipment to throw at any challenge.
